Less Than 100 Days Left…
Starting to feel the excitement build. Today marks 83 days left! Thanks to my wonderful mom, the centerpieces are just about finished. I’ve finished cutting, scoring, and trimming all of my custom invitation pocketfolds… now to print the invites on the actual cardstock and assemble. First dress fitting next Saturday… eek!!! Bye for now – going to do some P90X :)
Planning…
Finally caught Fa (she’s like a really high-level Pokemon; so hard to catch). Sat down and had a good sister bonding. She got all my color ideas and bought them back down to Earth, and made it look good. Yay, for the artist! Mommy got in on the action too. We made a sample centerpiece, and added the turquoise organza overlay I bought off eBay. I think it looks pretty good. Need to buy a spool of crystal beads to finish it off.
The Date is Set!!
Yay!! Finally got confirmation from both the ceremony & reception site. Looks like the date will be……… drum roll please………… August 28, 2010!! More details and pictures to follow!
Gown is bought!!
OMG. I just bought my gown. It’ll arrive on Friday, so fingers crosses that everything is okay!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Btw, Happy Girl’s Day!!
It arrived on Friday!! The girl said it was new, never worn. Pfft!! Mommy saw the dirt mark at the bottom of the hem (that was hemmed up again), and some French bustle sets. Gowns DO NOT come with bustles already set. She must’ve had it altered. It is smaller than the one I tried on at the store, so I suspect she had it taken in as well. Nothing a little diet and exercise can’t fix. Woo hoo!! Real motivation now. x_x
Wedding Ideas
Yes!! I am starting to think of wedding ideas — colors, flowers, themes, cake, venue, etc. I’ve already decided on my dress and ring (yes, not engaged yet but will be soon!!), so at least I can cross those off my list. I’ve been browsing Flickr and came across these super cute cupcakes (and this is the top view of the wedding cake/cupcakes). I wonder what people will think of cupcakes as centerpieces instead of flowers. Is that tacky??
